Felix Neureuther reported back with an Instagram post a month after the death of his mother Rosi Mittermaier.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen - There could not have been a sadder start to the year for German winter sports fans.

Ski legend Rosi Mittermaier passed away on January 4, 2023 after suffering from cancer.

The sympathy after the death of the double Olympic champion, who was also an absolute winner off the piste, was enormous.

Numerous stars from sports and show business reacted dismayed to the tragic news.

On the day of his death, Rosi Mittermaier's son Felix Neureuther was still working as a TV expert for ARD before he stopped working before the second round of the night slalom in Garmisch to rush to his mother.

The hardest hours followed for him and his family.

Neureuther, once a successful skier himself, said goodbye to his mother a few days later via Instagram with a touching message.

After that, there was radio silence on his account – until February 3rd, when Neureuther shared a picture of himself on the ski slope.
