But in Hapoel Jerusalem following the death of the former footballer and club legend, Zvi Single at the age of 84. Single was the captain of the team and got to lift the only trophy in the history of the Jerusalem club 50 years ago.
The former footballer was born in 1938 in Argentina and immigrated to Israel 20 years later.
After an experience in the Australian league with Midi in Melbourne, Single returned to Hapoel Jerusalem in 1965 and played in Media until 1975. In 1972 he led the team to the cup final against Hapoel Tel Aviv in which Jerusalem lost 1:0.
A season later, he led Hapoel Jerusalem to win the state cup with a 0:2 victory.

The club's statement of mourning reads: "Hapoel Jerusalem bows its head with the passing of one of the team's all-time giants. Exactly 50 years have passed since our captain lifted the only trophy in the club's history; he was the link player most associated with the "Golden Age", a true pillar , an extraordinary talent made in Argentina that Hapoel had the privilege of having at home from 1959 to 1975. The king of Jerusalem derby goals for generations."
