Harry Kane made history tonight (Sunday) and became Tottenham's all-time goalscorer.

The Roosters' big star found the back of the net against Manchester City in the 15th minute, celebrating his 267th goal for the club - one more than the legendary Jimmy Greaves.

Kane did so in his 415th appearance for the club, compared to Greaves, who starred at Tottenham from 1961 to 1970, scoring 266 of his goals in 379 appearances.

Along the way, Kane celebrated his 200th Premier League goal, becoming only the third player to do so, after Alan Shearer (260) and Wayne Rooney (200).

It should be noted that the Tottenham star needed fewer games to do so - he reached 200 goals in his 304th game, while Shearer did so in his 306th game and Rooney in his 462nd game.

At the end Kane was called to the microphone and stated: "We still have a lot to play for this season. I wanted to score and finish it as soon as possible. It's a special feeling", while thanking his family, friends, fans, team and players.

Not only Kane spoke, but also Danny Greaves, Jimmy's son who was overtaken by Kane, who congratulated the striker in a tearful video that was shown to Kane and the stadium crowd.

In the dressing room, Kane also received an emotional phone call from his manager Antonio Conte, who was not on the lines tonight as he is recovering in Italy from last week's operation to remove his gallbladder.

"Congratulations Harry Kane on breaking Jimmy Greaves' record," Shearer tweeted.

"Me and Ronnie were wondering where you are, congratulations on joining the 200 club."

Gary Lineker also cheered: "He did it. Kane scored again and overtook Jimmy Greaves. What a great achievement. Well done."
