Manchester City's loss last night (Sunday) to Tottenham moved them significantly away from Arsenal, but apparently as of now - this is the minor problem the club is facing these days, after this morning the Premier League management announced that the ongoing investigation into its financial conduct found financial failures and violations of the Fair Laws Play.
"We can confirm today that City violated several rules of the league," reads the official statement issued by the independent committee that investigated the club for the past four years and examined the conduct of the contents between 2009-2018.
The laws we are talking about, which according to the reports are over 100 of these, and the punishments the team can receive include a reduction of points in the best case and in the worst case a relegation of a league or even several leagues.

This is a potentially unprecedented punishment that may not only decide the fate of the championship, but affect the future of the club.
The offenses are attributed to a period of nine years and the club is accused of not reporting accurate financial information regarding profits (including from sponsors) and operating costs.
In addition to this, City did not report all the salary costs of its coaches for four years out of it.
