Summary: Real Madrid - Tenerife 77:88 (Sport1)
Shortly after the big trade that sent Kyrie Irving to Dallas, LeBron James tweeted: "Maybe it's me."
In retrospect, it turned out that King James really wanted to team up with Kyrie, with whom he won the exciting and only championship in Cleveland, the club where he grew up.
Now it is being reported in the US that the Lakers were indeed a strong candidate to take Kyrie, with Marc Stein claiming that the team offered Brooklyn two first-round picks in the 2027 and 2029 draft in addition to Russell Westbrook.

But Brooklyn also demanded Austin Reeves and Max Christie in addition to the exchange of additional draft picks and the deal fell through.
In addition, the Nets preferred Dallas' offer on the assumption that they could be competitive this season as well with the players they received: Dorian Finney Smith and Spencer Dinwiddie who returned to the team he previously starred in.
What's interesting is that Kyrie, according to Mark Stein, was actually excited about the possibility of moving to the Lakers and teaming up with LeBron again.
But Brooklyn preferred to send him to any one team and not to the Lakers.
But there was another team in the picture besides Dallas and the Lakers.
Phoenix, suffering from a lingering injury to Devin Booker, tried to get Kyrie and reportedly offered Brooklyn a package that included Chris Paul, Jae Crowder and a first-round draft pick but the offer was rejected by the Nets.
The 30-year-old Irving has been involved in a number of scandals in the past two years, including his refusal to get vaccinated against Corona and tweeting a movie with anti-Semitic messages.
He missed a bunch of games, was suspended and came back again, and when he was on the floor, he looked like one of the best center backs in the world.
In his last four seasons he played 20, 54, 29 and 40 games (this season), and in the current one he averaged 27.1 points (48 percent from the field, 37 percent from 3, 88 percent from the free), 5.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
