Christian Atsu, who played under Abraham Grant in the Ghana national team, and the professional manager of Hatayspor, have not yet made contact.

A difficult morning today (Monday) in Turkey and Syria following two earthquakes that separated the region.

On the sporting front, the two Hattiespur players have been rescued from the wreckage but there are two members of staff, including former Newcastle player and Ghana international Christian Atsu, who are still missing.

According to reports in the Turkish media, the two players of Hatayspor Burka Oksuz and Berdog Yildirim were rescued from the ruins together with a member of the team's professional team, Karim Elici.

However, as mentioned, the search continues for many missing people, including Atsu, who played under the guidance of Avraham Grant in the Ghana national team, and the sports director of the first league team from Turkey - Tanner Sabut.

Just yesterday the 31-year-old Atsu scored a winning goal in the 97th minute in a 0:1 against Kasimpsha.

The 31-year-old Ghanaian started his career at Porto, from where he was loaned to Portuguese side Rio Abe before signing with Chelsea who signed him on a 5-year contract in September 2013. However, during his contract years, the player was loaned to various teams including Vitesse, Everton, and Malaga.

In 2016, Atsu joined Newcastle in the media and made over 100 appearances.

He played for the last few months in Saudi Arabia's Al Riyadh West before coming to the Turkish league for the first time.

In the last few hours, a document of the former goalkeeper in the Turkish national team and the professional manager of Hatayspor, Volkan Demirel, has been circulating on social networks, in a dramatic video in which he begs for help live on Instagram: "Help us. I ask that you send all the means you have. People are dying here, for God's sake."
