Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced today (Monday) the extension of Roman Sorkin's contract with the team for two more years, so that he will continue with the club until the summer of 2025.
The Israeli forward-center (2.08 meters, 26), who arrived from Maccabi Haifa in the summer of 2021, has shown a trend of constant improvement in his ability since joining the Yellows, and this season he has already become a significant player on both sides of the field in the Euroleague and the local league.
"The signing of Sorkin for two more years is a statement that our club is thinking about the long term, for the years to come," clarified Shimon Mizrahi.
"He will be one of the anchors of the team and one of our goals is to maintain as much as possible the roster of players and the continuity of the one that has been built. We are very happy and congratulate Roman, who is undoubtedly getting better and better. I am confident that he will continue on this path."

In the Premier League so far this season, Sorkin has contributed 11.4 points (67.6% for two), 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.6 blocks.
In the Euroleague, the numbers jumped to 17:11 minutes, during which he provides 7 points (65.3% for 2), 3.4 rebounds, an assist and a block for the evening.
