Not everyone is in favor:
former player Jerome Rotten, who played for PSG and is now a senior commentator on French television, urges his former team not to renew Lionel Messi's contract.
He believes the Argentine's salary alone will be enough to improve the overall squad.
Rotten explained his words: "It is very complicated to manage this trio. We saw that PSG is in a problem with financial fair play because its salary cap is blown. It has an opportunity to free up a large amount of money because Messi's salary is significant, this could allow it to improve the staff".
