Despite a small scare halfway through, the Frenchman, impressive in Super G, completed his slalom in 45"06. Enough to beat Schwarz by 10 hundredths and Haaser by 44 hundredths. Pinturault obtained his sixth individual planetary medal, his second in gold in this discipline and ideally launched the world fortnight of the French team.
