NBA: Dallas won without Doncic and Irving, Boston beat Detroit Israel today

Besides Washington's loss to Cleveland, 7 more games were played in the NBA tonight, when the Dallas Mavericks won without Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, and Golden State ran over Oklahoma

Utah Jazz - Dallas Mavericks 124:111

The most talked about team in the league, the Dallas Mavericks beat the Utah Jazz tonight 111:124, but played without their new pair of stars.

The injured Luka Doncic is absent, and Kyrie Irving is expected to make his debut on the night between Wednesday and Thursday against the Clippers.

Josh Green and Jayden Hardy each scored a career-high 29 points, leading the short-handed Texas team to the important win.

After scoring a total of 12 points over six games, Hardy exploded, and Dwight Powell added 12 points and 16 rebounds.

Jordan Clarkson led Utah with 26 points and Ori Markkanen added 19 - the first game in which he fails to reach 20 points in the last 21 games.

Detroit Pistons - Boston Celtics 111:99

Jayson Tatum started slowly and finished strong with 34 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, leading the Boston Celtics to a 99:111 victory over the Detroit Pistons.

The All-Star missed his first five shots and had 3 fouls in the half, after missing 10 shots in the first half.

Tatum woke up in the third quarter, scoring 18 points to turn a seven-point halftime lead into 18.

Derrick White had 23 points, and Malcolm Brogdon and Robert Williams scored 15 apiece for the East-leading Celtics, who have lost four of their previous six games.

Brooklyn Nets - Los Angeles Clippers 124:116

The main victim of the big trade, the Brooklyn Nets, opened a new era tonight with a 124:116 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Paul George and Kawhi Leonard celebrated with 29 points and 24 respectively.

The emerging new star of Brooklyn, at least until the return of Kevin Durant, is Cam Thomas who scored 44 points, and improved the career record he set against the Washington Wizards in the previous game.
