It was opened on January 16 by the Paris prosecutor's office after a complaint filed in December by Hicham Bouajila, former adviser to President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
Contacted by our colleagues, the Paris prosecutor's office confirmed that "
upon a complaint received on December 13
,
2022, an investigation was opened on January 16, 2023 from the head of concealed work.

The complaint relates to the 2015-2018 period during which Bouajila, a 49-year-old Tunisian businessman, had carried out several missions for the club after having helped the Qatari leader to settle in France in 2011. The two men had met when the latter was president of the Al-Jazeera Sport network, ex-beIN Sports.

The plaintiff's lawyer explains to
L'Équipe
that his client only received "
sporadic and irregular remuneration
" in return for his assignments , via a legal arrangement involving a tennis academy based in Doha with which he had no nothing to see.
The employment contract in question mentioned the position of “tennis teacher”.

about Hicham Bouajila, PSG replies that he
"has never been employed by PSG or beIN",
and indicates that he does not want to worry about "
totally misleading individuals who trade in disinformation and media manipulation.
