Israeli football bows its head.
Avraham Sabo, the pioneer of the Israeli past, passed away today (Monday).
Sabo, who was born in 1946, started his career in the youth club of Beitar Netanya. He later moved to Maccabi Netanya, from there to Beitar Jerusalem and retired in the uniform of his youth team.
In addition, he has one appearance in the Israel national team uniform.
Sabo scored the goal of Maccabi Netanya's first championship in 1971, and took home the state cup with Beitar Jerusalem in 1976. His funeral will be held tomorrow at 2:00 PM at the Shikhon Veterans Cemetery in Netanya.
The Maccabi Netanya football club mourns the death of the club's former striker Avraham Sabo.
On April 17, 1971, Sabo scored a winning goal in the home game against Hapoel KPS, a goal that gave Netanya the club's first championship title.
Sabo will be laid to rest tomorrow at 2:00 PM in the Shikin Veterans Cemetery in Netanya.
