In the eternal debate about who is the best player of all time, LeBron James has given another boost by beating Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time points record.
A list in which Karl Malone is third, and Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, two of the great stars with whom El Rey shares Olympus, fourth and fifth respectively.
LeBron has no doubts.
The chosen one is him.
"I always feel that I am the best who has played basketball," he commented after his latest feat.
LeBron's 20 seasons in the elite and his status as a tremendously complete player with a presence at the top of many statistics, beyond points, play in his favor.
A voracity that has not stopped.
James wants to continue playing while waiting for his last dream, to share the court with his son Bronny, who could participate in the 2024
draft
, in time to meet his father in his last year of contract with the Lakers.
“I know I can play a couple more years.
The way I feel, the way my body has been reacting throughout this season.
In the end it's all about my mind.
If I remain motivated to continue and to try to compete for championships, if I feel motivated to prepare every day, then I will continue playing ”, he explained after a new milestone in his imperial career.
LeBron is above Michael Jordan for this.

For now, LeBron has to suffer at the Lakers, who lost at home to Oklahoma 130-33 on the day of their star's party.
At the end of the first two quarters, the Los Angeles team had already conceded 76 points.
It is the Lakers' 30th loss in 55 games, third from last in the Western Conference.
James also regretted that they could not sign Kyrie Irving before the market closed on Thursday.
The Nets point guard will join Luka Doncic in Dallas.
“I never thought someone would break Kareem's scoring record, but it shows how special you are and what you've done for basketball around the world.
You changed the game”, praised LeBron another myth of the basket and the Lakers, Magic Johnson.
