Back to basics for Michel Der Zakarian.
The 59-year-old French technician was appointed coach of Montpellier on Wednesday.
He will take over from Romain Piteau a year and a half after leaving the Hérault club.
Former player of the club between 1988 and 1997 then coach between May 2017 and May 2021, Der Zakarian will have the mission of ensuring the maintenance of his team in a negative spiral with four defeats (one victory) in the last five league matches.
