One of the greatest basketball players in the history of the sport today broke the points record of Kareem Abdul-Jaber, but even before that he signed several moments that no one will forget • From the block in the final against Golden State to "The Decision" • The best

LeBron James this morning (Wednesday) became the NBA's all-time points leader, when he broke Kareem Abdul Jabbar's historic record and set it at 38,390.

Despite this, in the mighty career of the "King" of the NBA there were already quite a few equally great moments, "Israel Today" with five of them, which no basketball fan will ever forget.

5. The film that fell from the head

Game 6 of the 2013 Finals featured what may be the most riveting drama in NBA history between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs: Ray Allen's crazy 3-pointer set up overtime and is still considered one of the most memorable shots in history.

Nine minutes to the end of the fourth quarter, LeBron James loses the familiar tape he put on his head - does not return it, and everything changes.

James scored 14 points without the tape, including huge clutch baskets in overtime, and led Miami to victory and 3:3 in the series, which we all remember how it ended.

He finished with 32/11/10.

4. The first championship

After a painful loss in the 2011 Finals, and nearly two years after his controversial move to Miami, James has yet to win a championship.

If LeBron hadn't won Game 6 of the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals against Boston, we probably wouldn't be sitting here obsessing over all the amazing moments in what should be considered one of the greatest NBA careers of a player.

The pressure was enormous.

LeBron finished with 45 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists.

After the first 12 minutes, James had 14 points and missed just one shot.

In the second quarter he scored 16 points, and finished with 12 of 14 from the field in the first half, with nine three-pointers.

A few weeks later, James finally won his first ring, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder in a competitive five-game series.

3. Breaking the points record

Anyone who saw LeBron's basket today, knows that this is a moment that will be etched in NBA history forever.

And he came in third place.

The Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder, and King James managed to do it already in the third quarter, when he reached the 38 points he so hoped for.

He did it with a hard shot from half distance, which went in and got an entire hall on its feet.

LeBron finished the game itself with 38 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 4 turnovers.

Los Angeles Lakers lost, but the truth?

It doesn't seem to bother anyone.

HISTORY.

2. "The Decision"

Besides being a great basketball player, LeBron also proved to be a media wizard who managed to provide one of the most memorable televised moments in the history of sports in the United States.

James shook the NBA when he announced live on television about his move to the Miami Heat, in a broadcast that lasted about an hour and a quarter and was called - "The Decision".

I'm going to take my talent to South Beach and join the Miami Heat," said LeBron in the same broadcast on ESPN, which was watched by 10 million people, and set new rules for the game: from that moment to this very day, the stars are the ones who "run " the affairs.

1. The block

It feels strange to commemorate one of the greatest offensive players in NBA history, on the day he broke the league's all-time scoring record - with a defensive move.

But that's why we'll never see LeBron James again.

When he was exhausted and tired during Game 7 between Golden State and Cleveland, James ran the length of the court and blocked Andre Iguodala in the biggest poster of his career.

LeBron would still be one of the greatest players ever even if he hadn't brought Cleveland that championship, but in his eyes, the third ring is what makes him the best basketball player ever.

And although it could have happened even without this spectacle, there is no other moment that better symbolizes this championship.
