It was not necessary to arrive late on the side of the Allianz Riviera.

The Aiglons have been working on set pieces since the arrival of Didier Digard and that was immediately apparent tonight.

After a corner played with two, Dante got rid of the marking to place a left-footed volley (3rd, 1-0), his first goal since October 2020. For the 19th time this season in 23 games, Ajaccio conceded the opener.

But afterwards, Nice did not know how to ignite the meeting.

Despite a clear possession (67%), the Aiglons were not dangerous.

The only shot on target for the locals was the recovery of Dante.

Opposite, Ajaccio did not let it go.

If the possession phases were not always flawless, the Corsicans showed that they were well in place and that

Brahimi author of a magnificent double

Upon returning from the locker room, the bases were identical to the first 45 minutes.

Ajaccio even took over until the hour mark, without managing to come back to score despite a few opportunities, in particular with three consecutive corners (55th, 1-0).

The premises did not suffer the onslaught of the Corsicans, but the laxity was felt.

Didier Digard then made a decisive triple change.

Once again from a corner, Diop distinguished himself with his technique and his speed before serving Brahimi who unleashed a sumptuous strike which ended in the top corner of Leroy (69th, 2-0).

The two entrants boosted the game of the Aiglons.

After a delicate first match against Marseille, Terem Moffi, recruited for 30 million euros, has still not convinced, he who only touched four balls in the first period,

and hesitating on a few offensive phases like his poorly executed counter (80th, 2-0).

Finally, Brahimi once again delighted all football lovers with an absolutely sublime shot from the corner of the surface.

Still almost without momentum, the Algerian lobbed Leroy to score his double (90th, 3-0).

Thanks to this success, Nice temporarily rises to 7th place, ahead of Lorient.

The Corsicans fall back into their ways and remain relegated, in 18th place.
