Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann has commented on an upcoming discussion with the injured national goalkeeper and Bayern captain Manuel Neuer.
"Everything I discuss with players stays internal," said Nagelsmann.
"I know and I can understand that this is a very exciting topic," added the coach.
"It's also important for Manu that the topic is buried at some point," said Nagelsmann.
Everyone knows that healing of the body is very much influenced by thoughts.
»It's also important for Manu to look ahead.
The same applies to me.«
Bayern officials have announced talks with Neuer
After breaking his lower leg, Neuer said it was "the task to get well, to get fit, to get the injury out of his head, to get the rehab rolling," said the 35-year-old.
"It's my job to support him as best I can."
Neuer had annoyed the Munich club management and the coach with an interview in which he complained, among other things, about the separation of the German record champions from goalkeeper coach and Neuer intimate Toni Tapalović.
The board around Oliver Kahn has also announced a meeting with Neuer.
Neuer may have to face consequences.
Nagelsmann was again asked if the goalkeeper would remain captain.
"Manu is currently the captain of this team - and that's a good thing," said Nagelsmann.
He postponed the question to the future.
Tapalović successor found with computer
Michael Computer has now been installed as Tapalović's successor.
“I know Michael from Hoffenheim times.
I read that Nagelsmann is getting his buddy.
That's not my buddy,' said Nagelsmann.
In his eyes, after the separation from Tapalović, the computer, which is recognized in the football scene, is “the best solution in terms of content”.
He tries to "make all decisions in the interests of the club".
