In the top five, from the bench, at home or away - in recent times Danny Avdia has been delivering the goods on a regular basis, no matter what the circumstances.

Tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) the Israeli forward returned to the bench even though Kyle Kuzma continued to be absent, but even that did not lower his confidence, and he recorded another excellent game that helped Washington beat Indiana 113:127, and improve the balance to 26 wins compared to 29 losses.

Avdia finished 30 super-efficient minutes with 16 points at excellent percentages (7-for-8 from the field, 1-for-2 from three, 1-for-2 from the penalty), added 6 rebounds, 3 assists and a block, and maintained the impressive numbers he's been showing since the trade that sent Roy Hachimura to the Lakers.

In the nine games since then, Avdia is averaging 15.3 points (50.5% from the field, 40.6% from three), 7.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in nearly 30 minutes.

Washington started the game with a bang, which was their last home game before going to the All-Star break.

Bradley Beal got off to a great start, the offense flowed and after a 37-point first quarter, the Wizards scored 43 points in the next quarter to cap off one of their best offensive halves of all time.

The big advantage they opened in the first half was also preserved in the second half, when everyone participates in the celebration and the team scores 70% from the field after three quarters.

The Wizards finished the impressive offensive game with 64% from the field, 46% from three and 86% from free throws, and handed out no less than 32 assists, as they once again show improved teamwork and quality ball movement, and Avdia continues to enjoy this and accumulate points in the last quarter.

Bradley Beal led the scoring list for Washington, which recorded a second straight win, with 32 along with 6 assists.

Kristaps Porzingis (10 rebounds, 5 assists) and Monte Morris each added 17, and Avdia was next in line.

On the other side, Indiana received 21 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds from Tyrese Halliburton, and 20 from Myles Turner.

Now Washington will go for three away games after which it will go to the All-Star break.

The first game in the series will be held on the night between Monday and Tuesday at Golden State.
