The Spanish police transfer Dani Alves to the detention center: the Brazilian soccer player is suspected of rape (Reuters)
Dani Alves is still in custody in prison on suspicion of allegedly sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona last December 30.
While the final decision is expected to be made by the court in Barcelona whether the footballer will remain in prison or be released on parole, his lawyer continues their efforts to free him, at least until the trial begins.
Hence, they used the term "narrative distortion".
The three versions the Brazilian provided were belied by other statements and DNA evidence provided by investigators.
However, according to Alves' lawyer, there is evidence that the relationship between Alves and the alleged victim was consensual.
The "distortion of the narrative", as he says, is because there is a gap of two minutes between the Brazilian entering the bathroom and the victim who entered after him.
This is the key to the defense, which could make Alves go free until the trial is over.
Unfortunately for Alves, the statements of the three girlfriends of the complainant correspond to the photos from the scene.

On the night of the events, Alves was accompanied by his personal chef, Bruno.
He himself was the one who, after talking to the footballer, approached the waiter to point to the three girls, in a gesture that was recorded on the security cameras.
The waiter had to insist more than once to convince the girls to go up to the area where the footballer and his chef were waiting for them.
The footballer was "very insistent" with one of the three girls, according to sources, after initially introducing himself as a "petanque player", especially to the 23-year-old young woman who did not recognize him.
The three girls were uncomfortable in the situation, and according to the evidence, Alves' behavior made them even more uncomfortable.
When they started dancing, the footballer approached the three of them, as confirmed by the security cameras and the women's testimonies.
He touched the genitals of one of them over her clothes, and allegedly touched the buttocks of the other two.
Despite Alves' insistence, the photos documented how the young woman, on whom the Brazilian focused, pulled the footballer's hand and pushed her away, while he placed her on her ass up to two times.
A short time later, Alves leaves the group and stands by the bathroom door.
"He tells me to come, but I don't know why," the young woman stated to one of her friends nervously.
Her friend's answer was clear and accompanied by an unmistakable gesture, which the cameras caught.
"Go over there and close it," she replied to her friend, while pointing at the soccer player and making a horizontal motion with her hand, meaning to tell her to rush to him and "finish it" so they could leave.
The series of facts, which were recorded by the cameras, along with the statements of the witnesses, contradict the version of the footballer, who insists that he entered the bathroom first and then the girl did it after him of her own accord and knowing why she was going.
She stated that she did not know at all that it was a bathroom.
There was no sign indicating that, the waiters claimed, and she thought it was a smoking area.
Moreover, one of the girls even went down to the dance floor on the floor below and stood in line for the bathroom, since she thought there were no restrooms at all in the "VIP" area where Alves was sitting.
According to the victim, the Brazilian opened the door, led her to a very small space and raped her there.
All the DNA tests confirm that there was penetration.
After many minutes, Alves left the cell first, and then the woman, who went to find her friends in order to leave.
The Brazilian did not contact his friend and hid in a dark area of the club.
The change in the footballer's attitude after he left the bathroom was drastic, and this was highlighted by the investigators in the report they submitted to the court. When the young woman left the small room crying, Alves passed her, pushed her and Alves pushed her away without saying a word or showing a hint of affection.
