Tragedy in Belgium.
Goalkeeper Erna Espil collapsed on the field and died at the age of 25, moments after stopping a penalty in an amateur league game.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place today to determine what caused his death, with the assessment being that it was a cardiac event of course.
Aspil was a player for the reserve team of Winkel Sport (the first team plays in the third division in Belgium) and on Saturday his team led 1:2 in a league match against Westersbeike, when the opponent's favor was awarded a penalty.
According to reports in Belgium, Aspil stopped the penalty, got up and immediately collapsed on the turf.
The members of the medical team on the spot rushed to him and performed life-saving treatment using a defibrillator, but their efforts were futile.
He was rushed to the hospital during resuscitation attempts, where he was pronounced dead.
His younger brother, Aron (20) was sitting on the bench after returning from a long injury and saw the whole tragic event before his eyes.
"Disaster, everyone is shocked."

"Winkel Sport is shocked and pained by the sudden death of Arena Aspil," the club's statement reads, "We share in the deep sorrow of his family and friends. Football is secondary in moments like this."
Patrick Rotsart, the club's professional manager, said: "It's a disaster and everyone is in shock. Arne played at the club all his life and was very much loved here. He was a sympathetic boy, always in a good mood and ready to help. This is a hard blow for his family."
