The Israel national team player who last Saturday scored his first goal in the Premier League shared about the difficult time he went through due to the war in Ukraine and the injury that disabled him for several months • On the connection to Fulham: "Before I came here everyone said it felt like home and from the first moment I felt it"

Last Saturday Manor Solomon scored his debut goal in the Premier League in Fulham's 0:2 victory over Nottingham Forest.

After a difficult year with the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, when he was still playing for Shakhtar Donetsk and, of course, after a serious injury after his first game in the Kingdom, the star of the Israeli national team made time for a comprehensive interview with the British "Athletic" and revealed what he had been through, his excitement about the success of his London team and the connection to the club.

On his debut goal and the ability he displays: "I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Last year was the hardest in my life, it started with the war in Ukraine. After that I signed for Fulham, for a long time I wanted to be part of the Premier League and suddenly after the first game I suffered the worst injury of my career . The last few months have been incredibly difficult. I wanted so badly to be part of this team. But I knew my time would come."

On the war in Ukraine and the friends he left behind: "It took me a while to get through it - not because of me, but because of my friends there, all the people who suffered there. I returned home to my country, Israel. For me it was not that difficult. I knew that after a few months I would return to play Football again. I felt bad for the others. Many of my friends - Ukrainians, Israelis, lost their homes in Ukraine, they had to move. I'm still in touch with my teammates. I know they're fine and they're playing in Poland and Lviv."

On the rehabilitation period he went through after he was injured after one game in the Premier League: "My girlfriend and I were not alone, not even for a day. Friends and family members came when I was on crutches and I needed help. My physios and trainers, they all came to help me. They all helped me get back on the field. I was desperate to return because I looked at the team and the football we play and I wanted to be a part of it."

Our favorite angle of @Manorsolomon's goal is all of them.
