Mourad Boudjellal, the former president of Rugby Club Toulonnais, knows well and has remained very close to Bernard Laporte, with whom he won a Brennus shield in 2014 and three Champions Cups between 2013 and 2015. In his weekly column on

, the former leader of the RCT argues that Laporte, who recently resigned as president of the FFR, will return to the field after the next World Cup in France.

Boudjellal does not specify, however, in which club or with which team Laporte could bounce back.
Seven months before the World Cup organized in France, French rugby is shaken by business.
Bernard Laporte, the president of the French Rugby Federation, was given a two-year suspended prison sentence on December 13 for having entered into a
"corruption pact"
with the businessman and president of the Montpellier club Mohed Altrad.
His conviction by the Paris Criminal Court not being enforceable, the former coach of the Blues (2000-2007) had, at first, refused to resign as such but he had ended up doing so, under the joint pressure of the Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, of the National Rugby League (LNR) and of the ethics committee of the FFR.
