Despite the loss in the first set, Gal Galili's apprentices quickly recovered in the next two sets, to bring the huge victory with 3:2 (25:18, 23:25, 22:25, 25:23, 15:10).

Now, Maccabi Tel Aviv is waiting to see who will be its next opponent, which will come after the meeting between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos, when the latter won 1:3 in the first meeting - but the return match was postponed for a day due to violent clashes between the police and the fans.
According to the plan established by the European Union, the finals are scheduled for March 8 and 15, and the dates will be finalized in the coming days.

"We are happy, it was a very difficult game, in a very difficult place. We entered it gradually and scratched point by point, now we are already thinking about the final when we have tasks in Israel with the cup. With this team everything is possible."
Captain Gennady Sokolov said: "It was a very difficult game, we started very weak, but as always we showed character and managed to win in the end, the team is very connected and every player knows how to excel at the moment of truth. In the final, the whole crowd will come, so that we will beat whoever comes against us."
