Luka Doncic scored 37 points in Dallas' visit to Denver tonight.
It wasn't even close to being enough to win.
The reason: Nikola Jokic delivered an admittedly solid triple-double of 14 points, 10 assists and 13 rebounds and led the Nuggets to a 118-109 victory, Denver's 27th home win in 31 games.
How significant is Jokic in the success of his team that brilliantly leads the West?
Well, it was the Joker's 21st triple-double of the season and in all of those games Denver won.
If you include last season, it was the team's 25th consecutive victory in games in which Jokic recorded a triple double.
This is the longest streak and surpasses even the 24 consecutive victories that the Lakers achieved in games with a triple double by Magic Johnson.

This time he will take Denver to the end?

Even the great Luka Doncic admitted that Jokic was bigger than him and said after the game: "When you have a player like Jokic in the team, you are the favorite."
By the way, Doncic recorded his 65th game in his short career in which he crosses the 35-point mark.
The only one who did it more times before the age of 24 was LeBron James (87).
Jokic joined a very exclusive list of players who crossed the 500 assists and 500 rebounds mark before the All-Star break.
The only two players to do so so far are Russell Westbrook (three times) and Oscar Robertson.

The MVP of the last two years enters the All-Star break averaging a triple-double.
"He makes it look like a walk in the park," said Nuggets new center Thomas Bryant, "It's not easy at all."
"We find ways to win when every time another player excels," Denver coach Michael Malone analyzed, "I think it shows the chemistry in our team, the depth. We have a really good team."
