Marco Odermatt secured his second title at the World Ski Championships in Courchevel and Meribel: the Swiss climbed up one place to gold in the second round of the giant slalom.
His compatriot Loïc Meillard won silver, bronze went to the leader of the first round, Marco Schwarz (Austria).
Among the 100 participants was Hubertus von Hohenlohe, perhaps the most dazzling figure in the ski circuit.
The skier, who started for Mexico, took part in a World Cup for the first time in 1982 and is now 64 years old.
Von Hohenlohe started the race with start number 87 and retired in the middle of the first round.
