The Swiss Marco Odermatt was crowned giant slalom world champion on Friday in Courchevel, obtaining his second World title after that in the downhill on Sunday.

The world No.1 was faster than his compatriot Loïc Meillard, silver medalist, and the Austrian Marco Schwarz, finally bronze medalist when he had dominated the first round.

For his part, Alexis Pinturault has made up for it well.

The Frenchman set the second fastest time in the second run, 0.01 off the fastest time.

He finished seventh overall.

Mathieu Faivre took 19th place and Léo Anguenot 24th.
