Johanna May: "Women's ice hockey is different"

May was in the DEB box in the games against Finland (0:3) and Switzerland (1:2);

there were also defeats against the Czech Republic (1:5) and Sweden (1:4).

"A pity,

that we have lost all encounters.

But we didn't consistently take advantage of our chances to score," said the 22-year-old.

In the end, she received “positive feedback” from the national coach for her performance.

Now the Geretsried goalkeeper is hoping to be called up for the Women's World Cup, which will take place in Canada in early April.

"I haven't received a confirmation for the World Cup yet," said May, "but I think my chances are not bad."
