Flying between the poles, the Frenchman made a brilliant demonstration of his talent and his touch of snow almost without equivalent on the world circuit.
The recital of an artist then only 24 years old.
A consecration that the Vosges would however have difficulty integrating, digesting and, perhaps, fully assuming.
Indeed, since this Olympic advent, the numbers have proven to be cruel for him: of the twelve World Cup events in which he took part, seven ended with the mention DNF, the abbreviation of the English term "Did not finish

. meaning that he had not been at the end of his slalom.
For a single victory and two podiums.
Not the best way to show off his status as an Olympic champion.
