The All-Star weekend in the NBA opens tonight (Friday to Saturday) in Utah with the Rising Stars game, in a new format of four teams: three of them were composed of Rockies and second-year players in the best league in the world, which were guided by former stars Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah and Deron Williams, while the fourth was assembled from players in the development league and coached by Jason Terry.
Pau Gasol's team won the three-game tournament, and Jose Alvarado of the New Orleans Pelicans was named MVP after hitting the game-winning shot in the final.
Gasol's team beat Williams' 25:40 in the first game, in which Alvarado scored 13 points.
Quentin Grimes, with the same amount, led Noah's team to a 32:40 victory over Terry's.
In the final, "Tim Pau" registered 20:25.

On another topic, tonight we learned about another change in the All-Star game that will take place between Sunday and Monday.
The captains, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo, will start the selection of the players from the bench, with the five players whose appearance in the game was guaranteed thanks to the votes of the audience, will be chosen last.
As a reminder, this will also be the first year in which the distribution of power in the All-Star is done on the field, just before the game, and not on a special transmitter with the captains as was the case in recent seasons, since the abandonment of the East vs. West format.
