ISLAMABAD, SANA- The police equestrian team won the third place in the Pakistan International Peg Picking Championship

The Police Equestrian Team won the third place in the Pakistan International Peg Picking Championship, which was held with the participation of thirty male and female riders from Iran, Belarus, Jordan, Pakistan and Libya, in addition to Syria.

The police knights were able to get third place by winning 16 various medals in the eight championship competitions.

On the sidelines of the championship, the knight, Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Al-Masry, participated in the international referees’ tournament and came first in the general standings of the tournament, and won the golden badge in the first-class international arbitration.

In a statement to SANA, the rider, Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Al-Masry, head of the Police Equestrian Club, said: “The competition was strong between thirty male and female riders, and it lasted for three days, in which the riders competed in eight competitions, which are the spear singles, the spear team, the sword singles, the sword team, the sword and spear pairs, two rings, a peg, and two lemons.” Wedge and relay in spear and sword, adding: Our knights gave a remarkable performance as usual and won the appreciation and admiration of everyone.

Al-Masry stated that the referees course was an opportunity to learn about international arbitration methods and to acquire new arbitration skills, noting that he had won the silver badge in arbitration as an international referee of the second degree in Jordan in 2019.

The police team was represented in this tournament by the knight Ahmed Al-Masry, the knight Haidar Baloul and the knight Muhammad Fares, led by the knight Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Al-Masry.
