An unusual video from the Congo: female soccer players attack the referee (Twitter, in accordance with Article 27A)
A violent incident was recorded at the weekend in African football, which included quite a bit of drama and chaos on the field: the players of the DC Mutamba Pemba team stormed the match referee after he did not whistle a penalty in their favor during a league match in Congo.
The team played against TP Mazemba, and trailed 5:1 when the players believed they deserved a penalty kick from 11 meters following a foul in the box.
The referee did not respond to their request and did not blow his whistle for a penalty, and from that moment a huge commotion began on the field - when the players began to chase him and try to hit him.
The referee tried to escape to the dressing room in an attempt to escape from the angry soccer players, but at the same time other people from the team caught him and started hitting him, when the players also joined in and kicked and punched the referee.
The league has already announced that all those involved in the incident have been suspended until further notice, and that a comprehensive investigation has been opened into the incident until the final punishments are announced.
