For half a series Karim Adeyemi looked like the big flop in the BVB jersey.
This was followed by a transfer to the left wing, a more stable Dortmunder Borussia and top performances by the lightning-fast national striker: This was also the case against Hertha BSC, when Adeyemi first danced an unsuccessful shot from Marco Reus with a heel (27th minute) before the match winner from 1 : 0 against Chelsea for Donyell Malen (31st).
But even before the pass, Adeyemi grabbed his leg in full sprint, then stopped - and had to be replaced.
A diagnosis is still pending, but Edin Terzić expressed a queasy feeling after the final whistle: "Today we lost someone in Karim Adeyemi who will probably not be available to us in the near future," said the BVB head coach.
The result:
4:1 (2:0) Borussia Dortmund dealt with the guests from the capital in front of their home crowd, who sold dearly and in the end lost perhaps a goal too high.

The fans in Dortmund were already excited before the game had even started.
The reason for this: A fashion specialty, a limited-edition event jersey, all black and gray and based on the history of the former coal and steel city of Dortmund.
It was something similar in 2019, it was a crowd favorite at the time – and has now been snatched from the club's hands again: the BVB website says there are more than 390,000 interested parties, and the sold-out piece of material is to be reproduced by the end of the month.

In the first half, Reus and the once again conspicuously good Julian Brandt harmonized with skillful combination play through the centre, Adeyemi's flashes of inspiration played out the lead.
After the break, however, the lead wobbled, Lucas Tousart completed a raid-like Hertha attack after winning the ball himself and scored the connection (46th), Florian Niederlechner even had the equalizer on his foot (51st).
BVB was able to thank keeper Gregor Kobel that their own sleepiness had no serious consequences.

Before the final phase, a VAR intervention strangely interrupted the rhythm of the game.
It took Harm Osmers a few minutes to make a decision because the radio link between the referee and the assistants in front of the screen was apparently not working as desired.
Marvin Plattenhardt, who was the subject of the scene to be checked, didn't even have his hand on the ball (69').

BVB also followed up without a penalty.
First Reus sank a direct free kick (76th), the first since May 2021. Then substitute Bellingham, who was the youngest player to reach the mark of 50 Bundesliga wins, conquered the ball. Adeyemi representative Jamie Bynoe-Gittens got the ball to Brandt, who scored in the third game in a row (90th).
BVB is currently doing a lot right in front of the goal.
"Today you saw that we don't play the stars from the sky," said Reus after the game.
"We're simply effective, and that's what sets us apart at the moment."
Second-degree leader:
BVB is now tied with FC Bayern Munich and surprise team Union Berlin in the top trio of the Bundesliga.
The fight for the championship hasn't been this exciting for a long time, even if nobody in Dortmund wants to talk about the championship yet.
Whereby the goal that Terzić gave would probably result in this: "To win every game deservedly, that would be cool." could win a competitive game.
