Just three days after winning the State Cup, Hapoel Jerusalem hosted the champion Hapoel Holon this evening (Sunday) at Hafis Arena, beating them 73:91 thanks to a wonderful game by Brandon Brown, who led the list of scorers for the Reds with 21 points.
Before the start of the competition, the Jerusalemites held a festive ceremony during which they unveiled the flag indicating the winning of the cup and hung it from the ceiling of the hall.
Some of the purple fans decided to boycott the ceremony similar to what the fans from the capital did at the beginning of the season when Holonia unveiled its championship flag in the match between the teams.

Usually, when a team wins a cup, there is concern among its people about how it will look on the field in the following game held a few days later and whether the drop in tension after the achievement will be felt, but Aleksandar Džikić's students opened the match with a storm and rode the waves of momentum on the way to a dizzying lead of 8:28 Already during the first quarter, which left the Purples chasing them throughout the game.
Joe Ragland's good minutes narrowed the difference to only six points, but the wonderful abilities of Levi Randolph and Brandon Brown in the fourth quarter increased the difference a second time and ensured the Reds another home victory before going into the international break.
TJ Klein made his debut in the red uniform against the ex and contributed 5 points.
