The Paralympic shooter, Yulia Chernoy, broke yesterday (Saturday), the Israeli women's record for shooting 60 rounds while lying down with a free toto rifle with 625.8 points, in the competition of the National League of the Israel Shooting Association.
Chernoy, who trains at Beit HaLochem Tel Aviv with Guy Strick, improved by two points the previous record set by Tal Engler, and by three points her personal best.
This is a joint competition for athletes with a disability and athletes without a disability.
The singer said at the end of the competition: "There are days when everything comes together. Today I had such a day!".
As a reminder, only last week Chernoy was selected as the Paralympic athlete for 2022, after she won the bronze medal at the World Shooting Championship held in the United Arab Emirates.
Chernoy has already secured her place at the 2024 Paris Games.
