Was Charles Barkley drunk during the NBA All-Star Game?

Shaquille O'Neal mocked Barkley, saying he sounded drunk while talking about LeBron James' picks during the TNT telecast leading up to the 2023 All-Star Game.

"No bad picks today, all these guys are great," Barkley said slowly, drawling out the words suspiciously.

O'Neill quickly responded: "Why does it sound like you're drunk? Are you okay?".

Barkley replied: "No man, that's my microphone," but O'Neill didn't get the explanation.

"No, it's not the microphone, it's you," O'Neal said before mocking Barkley's attempt to say Mark Cuban's name.

"...what the hell are you drinking?".

It should be noted that Barkley recently signed a contract that will give him about 20 million dollars a year for his work as a commentator.

By the way, Barkley insisted that it was his microphone that made his speech sound different, adding: "No, it's my microphone, I have a delay."

Broadcaster Ernie Johnson said: "Always blame the equipment."

O'Neal, however, didn't buy his friend's explanation, with LeBron James also seen laughing and amused by the accusations.

"It's not you, you're drunk," he said with a laugh.

"I want to thank the patron (Tequila) for sponsoring Chuck."
