After leaving the Los Angeles Lakers in the last transfer window and being traded to Utah, Russell Westbrook agreed to release his contract with the Jazz and will remain in the City of Angels - this time with the Los Angeles Clippers, ESPN reported this evening (Monday).
Throughout the last period there has been talk of the Clippers' interest in the 34-year-old guard and various members of the team's management have held talks with the player.
After Westbrook was made aware of the expectations of him joining the team of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, they reached an agreement that he would cancel his contract in Utah and leave.
After finalizing a buyout contract with the Utah Jazz, nine-time All-Star guard Russell Westbrook plans to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, his agent Jeff Schwartz of @excelbasketball tells ESPN.

The 34-year-old Westbrook, who was selected during his career 9 times to the All-Star Game and finished as MVP of the regular season in 2017, will arrive at a new home after a long career in Oklahoma City from where he moved to Houston, Washington and then the Lakers where he collaborated with LeBron James.
