(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 20 - The leadership of Scottie Scheffler lasted only a week, ousted from the throne of world golf by Jon Rahm who, with his success in California at The Genesis Invitational, returned to number 1 for the first time since March 26, 2022. The Spaniard, who celebrated his third title in 2023, the tenth on the circuit (a figure including a Major, the US Open 2021), has therefore overtaken the American Scheffler, now 2/o ahead of the Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy, 3/o.

Many variations as regards the Top 10, with Patrick Cantlay who moved to 4th place relegating Australian Cameron Smith to 5th place.

Will Zalatoris also advanced, from 8/o to 7/o, Max Homa, from 12/o to 8/o.

Step back for JustinThomas, from 7/o to 9/o, and Collin Morikawa, from 9/o to 10/o.

Thanks to his success on the DP World Tour at the Thailand Classic, the Danish Thorbjorn Olesen is back in the top 100, from 127/o to 92/o.

The blues Francesco Molinari and GuidoMigliozzi, respectively number 148 and number 157, lose ground.

Thanks to the 45th place at The Genesis Invitational, Tiger Woods rose from 1,294th to 985th position.
