Halperin, who came to the capital about a decade ago as an active player, retired in the red uniform and served, among other things, as a professional manager, temporary coach and consultant.

As first published in "Israel Hayom", after about ten years in which he served as a player, team captain, and then as a coach, and sports director - Hapoel Jerusalem announced this morning (Monday) that Yotam Halperin is leaving the position of professional advisor at the club.

The club's announcement reads: "HaPoel would like to thank Yotam for everything he did for the club - as a player, as a coach and as a professional. During his time at the Yotam club, he hoisted the first championship plate in Hapoel's history as captain, to which he added another championship, and won 3 trophies as part of the management team, and all This is in a period of only 8 years!"

Owner Eyal Chomsky said goodbye to Halperin: "Yotm will not be part of the professional system at Hapoel, but this is in no way a farewell."

Yotam was, still is and will remain flesh and blood of Hapoel Jerusalem.

Yotam is the verb and the verb is Yotam.

For ten years with us, Yotam became an important milestone in building the group's values, with a rare humanity and sensitivity along with winemaking.

Yotam's connection with the fans and with the Hapoel Jerusalem community is a strong and unbreakable connection.

Yotam, I want to thank you for everything you've given, and whatever you choose - the work is behind you!'

Yotam Halperin said: "If they had told me ten years ago, when I signed with Hapoel as a player, that I would end a decade at this club, I might not have believed it.

But very quickly Hapoel Yerushalayim entered my heart, and became my real home.

In addition to the two championships I won in Hapoel as a player, and another 3 trophies in the professional team, in the last ten years I have experienced countless moments and experiences that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Now, after a challenging summer, the team has stabilized and is in excellent professional hands, so a situation has arisen in which I feel comfortable embarking on a new path.

I feel that this is not really a farewell, because Hapoel will always be a part of me, but at least on the professional side, the time has come to look for a new challenge.

Halperin also said: "I want to thank Eyal Chomsky for the infinite trust. To Guy Harel who became a partner and soulmate, of course to Uri who started the whole wonderful journey, to the managers of the teams who were with me as a player and as a coach - Nir and David. I thank all the players I played with, the dedicated staff members of Hapoel, the entire team around the team and the office staff. And of course you, the fans - a huge thank you for all the support and love. I love you a lot."
