After scoring the winning goal in Paris Saint-Germain's dramatic 4-3 win over Lille in the French league, Lionel Messi came to visit Barcelona, the city where he lived for many years.
There were many versions of the reasons why Messi left Barcelona, most of them economic.
However, "El Nacional" is now reporting that Messi and his father Jorge have presented the club with an ultimatum to stay and it is the release of six players, including veteran stopper Gerard Pique.
As you may remember, Messi unexpectedly left Barcelona in the summer of 2021 in a move that stunned the football world.
President Laporte repeatedly spoke about the league's rules and claimed that he was forced to part with the club's greatest star of all time because of the financial burden.
But now interesting reports are being published according to which the star had a conflict with several actors.

Last year there were several reports that it was Pique who recommended to the Barcelona chiefs to get rid of Messi in order to save his monstrous contract and make it easier for the club financially.
Messi and Pique played 506 games together, but rumors of bad blood between them are not new.
After Messi's historic World Cup win, Pique, who had time to retire from football for the time being, also admitted that he didn't even see his former friend in Qatar when he said: "To be honest, I haven't seen his games. I've had busy months."
In "El Nacional" they claim that Messi and his father, who also serves as his agent, did not only sign Pique and also demanded that Stegen, Ricky Pooch, Antoine Griezmann, Enso Pati and coach Ronald Koeman leave immediately as a condition for him to stay.
A hint of the bad relationship between the flea and the German goalkeeper was given earlier this year when Stegen, in a rather delusional way, did not include Messi in the list of the best players he played with.
Ter Stegen has known less good days at Barca, but this season he shows great ability and has already kept a clean sheet 17 times in the league.
