Despite the recent developments and the new evidence that, according to his lawyers, may exonerate Dani Alves, the court in Spain decided today (Tuesday) to reject his request to release him to house arrest and he will remain in prison until his trial begins.
The Brazilian's lawyers tried to convince the court to release him to house arrest, and suggested that he surrender his passport, appear every day in court and even wear an electronic bracelet that would clarify his whereabouts - but all were rejected.
Earlier it was reported in the Spanish media that two security cameras at the "Sutton" night club in Barcelona, where the footballer allegedly raped a young girl, contradict the claim of the complainant.
The photos are not clear, but according to the publication, Alves was seen at the entrance to the bathroom in the VIP area. According to the defense, the complainant entered two minutes after him, which contradicts her testimony to the police and the court.
What this means for Alves' representatives is that it proves that he did not force her to enter the cell.
As I recall, according to the complainant's version, Alves behaved aggressively, leaned on her and then threw her to the floor, grabbed her by the neck and slapped her while he forced himself on her.
In addition, in Spain it is reported that the king of the investigation Alves changed his approach three times and "presented himself as a victim".

At first he denied that they had a relationship and at the police station he said that he did not know the girl.
Later, in front of the judge at the initial hearing, he claimed that nothing happened and only stated that he met her in the bathroom.
After it was made clear to him that the evidence contradicted his claim, the Brazilian again retracted his previous statements and said that she attacked him.
According to the report, he claims that the complainant approached him and performed oral sex on him, against his will, but he did not object either.
"She attacked me, I didn't want to touch her," he said, clarifying that she was the aggressor: "The truth is that I was trying to protect this young girl."
As mentioned, this claim was also found to be incorrect, because it turned out that there was full sexual intercourse between the two, according to a DNA test. It is also claimed that the security cameras showed that after what happened between them in the bathroom, Alves went out and quickly passed the young woman, who was sitting crying on the floor. while completely ignoring her.
