Against the background of the racist calls that the Brazilian striker receives, the Atlético Madrid star expressed solidarity: "This is unacceptable and inexplicable, it should have no place in football. The Premier League should be taken as an example."

Atletico Madrid striker, Albero Morata, says this morning (Thursday) in Spain that fans who shout racial insults should be banned from entering the pitches for life.

The Spanish player's statement comes in light of multiple incidents of racism against players in Spain's top league this season, including repeated abuse of Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior.

The Brazilian striker has been racially abused by opposing fans on a number of occasions this season, with the latest incident occurring during Real's 2-0 win over Osasuna in La Liga on Saturday.

"The first time a person does it in the stadium they should be banned for life," Morata told ESPN before Real Madrid host Atletico this weekend.

"This is unacceptable and inexplicable, it should have no place in football. The Premier League should be taken as an example. If a person does something like this in a game or outside, he should not be allowed to attend sporting events."

The Spanish league has filed three legal complaints against fans for racist chants during matches, including two following chants against Vinicius.
