Perhaps more than any other player in the world, Mario Balotelli is known for not realizing his full potential mainly because of behavioral problems.
Now the Italian striker has made headlines for negative reasons once again, when the fans of the Swiss club Sion, where he plays, burned his shirt.
Sion, which Balotelli came to last summer from the Turkish Adana Demirspor, shares the last place in the league with Wintertour and records a dismal streak of 11 league games without a win.
Balotelli has more yellow cards this season (six) than goals (five, three of which are penalties) and the fans have come out against him claiming he is "not making an effort" for the club.
The Italian was cursed when he was replaced in the last 4:0 loss to St. Gallen, and the fans as mentioned went one step further in protest by burning a shirt bearing his name.
This is not Balotelli's first involvement this season in Switzerland.
In September, the striker was absent from training due to illness, but was actually caught leaving a club accompanied by a girl.
