This Monday evening, Fifa will organize its annual ceremony called “The Best”, at the Salle Pleyel located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.

The evening will begin this Monday at 9 p.m. metropolitan France time.
It will be broadcast unencrypted on TMC, as well as on the FIFA website.
What is The Best ceremony?
France Football has its Ballon d'Or evening, Fifa has its The Best ceremony.
After collaborating on the Ballon d'Or between 2010 and 2016, Fifa has replayed the independence card and reactivated its own trophies.
Basically, it's a bit the same thing, but the Ballon d'Or retains a special prestige.
The Best trophies take into account performances over the calendar year, in this case 2022.
What are the categories?
For men's football, there will be the best player, best goalkeeper and best coach trophies.
Same for women's football.
Add the eleven-type of the year, for both men and women.
There will also be the famous Puskas prize which rewards the best goal.

Several French people are in the running.
Forwards Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé compete with Lionel Messi, freshly world champion, for the title of best player.
Sonia Bompastor, she looks like an outsider as coach of Lyon.
Finally, Dimitri Payet has a card to play for the Puskas prize with his goal against PAOK Salonika in the Europa League Conference, in April 2022.

As for the Puskas prize, it went to Erik Lamela, scorer of a scarf kick with Tottenham against Arsenal on March 14, 2021. Spurs lost 2-1 and Lamela was sent off in the second half.
