The Israeli national team will open the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign in Germany at the end of March.
The first game will be at home against Kosovo (25.3), when three days later, Israel will go to Geneva for a meeting against Switzerland, the best team at home.
Today (Monday) the football association and the team leaders, the professional director Yossi Benyon, the coach Alon Hazan and the rest of the team held a concentrated day, where they presented the goals for the upcoming campaign and tried to reflect the work being done.
Benyon prepared a presentation in which he explained his entire world view as a professional manager and said: "The national team meets every few months and only receives players for a few days and it is very difficult for the picture to be perfect. We are doing everything to put it together as quickly as possible. The most important thing for me is restoring the public's trust in the national team Our style is aggressive and attacking."

Benyon added: "There were years when I played in the national team that the stadium was full and this is the most important thing to me. Hazan said at the first assembly that if you do everything our way there will be 30,000 against Albania. People laughed and I also thought that there would not be 30,000. But Alon said if we do Whatever is needed professionally, they will come. Albania is not Spain, and there was a demand for more than 30,000."
"Russia was eliminated from the tournament of nations unfortunately because of the war, but in the end we had an opportunity and once they were eliminated we saw that with Iceland and Albania there was an opportunity to finish first and it was not easy. People like to underestimate but I wish for the day when we will have players in Europe and senior teams like there are in Albania and Iceland. We proved that we are better. We finished first. We have to rank B in the Euro qualifiers and thanks to this we have a chance. Kosovo and Romania were happy to receive us, but I wasn't sad that we received them either because they are teams at the same level and on a given day we are able to beat any of them."
He explained about the gap from the previous game: "The last game we played was in November, only four months later there is a game and we didn't receive even one day the national team players who maybe in other places do get it."
Regarding the view surrounding the call-ups to the squad, he explained: "We will not be afraid to give an opportunity to young people. Both 17 and 18 years old - those who are good will play, and those who are 35 or 36 years old do not deter me if they can contribute professionally and off the field. The ultimate goal is to advance to Euro 2024."
