But they joined the race too late and remembered when we were already locked in on Salzburg and we knew it was the best choice for me. In the end, I believe we made the right decision when we chose them and not Barcelona. It makes more sense for my development as a player."

On the goal in the Euro final against England: "It was definitely the most exciting moment. To score a goal and take the lead in such an important final against such a strong team as England was a very special moment. In the middle of the game you don't even have time to digest what you did because you are all focused on the game. In the end , when the game ended, we were very disappointed because we didn't win, but it lasted for about a day. Only then do you digest and see all the love that was surrounding us in the media, and in the country in general, and then you realize what you did."
On the time at Maccabi Tel Aviv: "I wasn't really in a hurry to leave, after all I didn't really play that much in Maccabi's seniors. Maybe I needed more experience and a little more time in the league here. But I knew that at some point the European chapter would come because I really wanted it.
