Tonight (Tuesday) four games were held in the NBA, with the runner-up Boston being defeated by the New York Knicks, Miami beating Philadelphia in a close game, and Charlotte beating Detroit but losing LaMelo Ball who broke his ankle.

The Knicks continue their dream season with an impressive victory over the runner-up, who, following Milwaukee's winning streak, no longer alone holds first place in the East.
Julius Randle and Emmanuel Quickley led the winners with 23 points.
Jaylen Brunson added 17 for the Knicks, who overtook Brooklyn en route to fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
The winner frustrated Jayson Tatum, who was stuck on 6-for-18 from the field and was ejected in the fourth quarter following a second technical foul.
He finished with only 14 points and without the injured Jaylen Brown, Boston could not keep up with its opponent.

Philadelphia - Miami 101:99
An impressive victory for Miami, which last season surprised when it reached the Eastern Conference finals and proved to be a dangerous team that no one would be happy to meet in the playoffs.
An acrobatic move by Jimmy Butler in the last minutes, a free throw in the last seconds and 23 points gave the Heat the victory.
James Harden had a chance to win the game but missed a 3-pointer.
Butler was one assist away from a triple double as he added 11 rebounds and also 4 steals.
Embiid led as usual with 27 points and 12 rebounds, the bearded man added 20 and 12 assists, but the two suffered a second consecutive loss against a senior opponent in the East.

Charlotte - Detroit 106:117
In the midst of a great season and on a night where it won its fifth straight, Charlotte lost its star in Amaelo Ball, who broke his ankle after making a three-pointer in the third quarter.
He managed to score 18 points and shoot the sixth three-pointer from seven attempts before he was injured due to a bad fall on the floor and probably like his brother Lonzo, he will not return to play this season.
Even without him, the Hornets got by against the weak opponent thanks to 22 points from Rozier and 10 from Havard.
Hamido Diallo scored 23 for the weak Pistons, as did James Weisman, the reinforcement that came from Golden State.
