After the game in Ottobrunn, the “Nature Boyz” were truly left out in the rain.

– The guest appearance at ERSC Ottobrunn was the last game in the relegation round for SC Forst.
However, this does not mean the end of the season for the "Nature Boyz": Due to the 1:2 (0:0, 0:0, 1:1, 0:1) defeat after extra time in this basement duel, the Forster slipped again in the final table down to the penultimate place.
SC Forst is fighting in the play-down against Schliersee/Miesbach to stay in the Landesliga
That means: You have to go into the play-down round, your opponent will be SG Schliersee/Miesbach.
In the "Best of three" mode (two wins are necessary), it is then determined who can continue to play in the state league in the coming season and who has to go down to the district league.
It starts on Friday, March 3, in Miesbach (8 p.m.).
Two days later, on Sunday, March 5th, the two opponents meet in the Peißenberg ice rink.
Should there be a third game, it will be played again in Peißenberg on Friday, March 10 (8 p.m.).
Actually, Forst should have been relegated last season
It's all about the “Nature Boyz” once again.
The fight to stay up is anything but alien to them.
In recent years they have been permanent guests in the relegation round of the Landesliga.
They should have been down last season, but the voluntary withdrawal of EV Bad Wörishofen saved them from going into the district league.
It was also really tight in the 2016/17 season, when it also went to the play-down and SCF secured the right to stay in the state league with two wins against today's Bayern league club ESC Kempten.
As it turned out later, the Kempteners were allowed to stay in the state league.
After the defeat in Ottobrunn, Forst slipped to the penultimate place
The “Nature Boyz” could have saved themselves going to the play-down with a win in Ottobrunn.
But things turned out differently: In a veritable water fight in the ERSC open-air stadium on Haidgraben, they conceded the decisive goal in extra time, which sealed the 1:2 defeat.
On the same day, EHC Bayreuth defeated EHC Lechbruck and thus made the league perfect.
With a 7:2 home win against Pfronten two days after the success against Forst, the Ottobrunn team pushed past Forst to save ninth place.
Continuous rain in the Ottobrunn open-air stadium makes the game difficult for teams
As soon as we arrived, “it was raining heavily at times”, as Forst's press spokesman Werner Schilcher reported.
The home side had been busy on the transfer market until the end of the change period.
In addition to three contingent players, they had also committed experienced German players.
The Forster acted from a reinforced cover.
It quickly became clear who the best players were: "Both goalkeepers showed an outstanding performance and kept their team in the game," said Schilcher.
Despite many great chances on both sides, the first period was goalless.
At the beginning of the middle third it started to rain cats and dogs.
"A fluid attacking game was no longer given, many actions came about more or less by chance," said Schilcher.
This section also ended goalless.
In extra time, Forst conceded the decisive hit to make it 1:2
It was also pouring rain in the final third.
Bastian Grundner gave the "Nature Boyz" the lead (48').
The joy didn't last long though, four minutes later Ottobrunn equalized.
A few seconds after the start of extra time, Grundner had Forst's winning goal on his bat, "but a well-placed shot wasn't possible," reported Schilcher.
The hosts punished the SC for lack of concentration with the 2:1 (64th).
