2023-03-01T08:10:45.713Z

Noël Le Graët, former president of the FFF, will now be delegate of the president of Fifa to the Paris office of the international body.

Noël Le Graët has “left” the post of president of the French football federation.

"Quit" because he does not like the term "resign" according to his own words.

Accused of moral and sexual harassment, the 81-year-old man had to say goodbye to the world of football after twelve years at the head of the most important federation in France.

And yet, the Breton was appointed delegate of the president of FIFA, to the Paris office of the international body.

On June 10, 2021, Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, traveled to the French capital to inaugurate FIFA's future Paris offices.

By his side today, Noël Le Graët and Emmanuel Macron.

The facilities are located in the heart of the city, in the Hôtel de la Marine, place de la Concorde (8th arrondissement).

"

Our choice naturally fell on Paris, which saw the birth of FIFA and hosted its headquarters from 1904 to 1932. As well as being one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, it is perfectly connected and easy to access"

declared the FIFA President at the inauguration.

The role of the FIFA Paris office

“The opening of this new site is part of FIFA's vision, whose ambition is to make football truly global and to strengthen cooperation with major international institutions.

A major asset for football development activities, the Paris office will notably help to consolidate relations with member associations,”

reads the FIFA website.

“Our ambition to make football truly global requires us to organize more globally.

A function still rather vague, for the ex-president who was

"appointed because of his skills, his expertise and his experience"

according to Eric Borghini, president of the Mediterranean League and member of the Comex of the FFF.

The friendship between Noël le Graët and Gianni Infantino is no secret.

The Breton had even declared: “

I like FIFA, I work well with them and they have just opened a headquarters in Paris.

I will surely invest myself a little more in the coming weeks.

And besides, I really like working with Gianni

(Infantino, President of FIFA).

For me, it is natural to want to continue.”
