Maccabi Tel Aviv hopes to take another step towards securing a ticket to the playoffs in the Euroleague, when it hosts Monaco tonight (Thursday) in the 26th round.
Oded Ketch's team comes to the game in eighth place in the standings with 13 wins and 12 losses, while the opponent ranks fifth with 15 wins and 10 losses.
This is the first of four remaining away games and Maccabi Tel Aviv knows that they must win at least one and maintain an almost clean home record in order to secure a place in the top eight.
But even for the opponent, every game is fateful: Monaco is in the fight for the home team in the quarterfinals of the playoffs, and has lost at home only to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Fenerbahce this season.
Its main weapon is of course the excellent back line, led by Mike James, who receives assistance from Eli Okobo and Jordan Lloyd.
In the first round, the Yellows came out with the upper hand, with 70:78 in Eliyahu's hands, thanks to 21 points from Wade Baldwin.
Not an easy test.
