Benjamin Pavard is one of the winners at FC Bayern in recent weeks.
Contrary to rumours, he never wanted to leave Munich, as he emphasizes.
Munich – From a struggling emigration candidate to a fence screamer: Benjamin Pavard has shown an impressive change in the past few weeks.
And actually Julian Nagelsmann only grants him what he always wanted: assignments in central defense.

Bayern star Benjamin Pavard in top form
Due to the transfer of Joao Cancelo, FC Bayern has recently been running with a three-man chain, which obviously suits the Frenchman.
"Being the first station in the build-up game, fighting duels, defending up front - these are the things I like to do," said Pavard in an interview with
Sport1
.
When things weren't going particularly well for him personally last autumn and Noussair Mazraoui surpassed him, rumors of a transfer persisted.
He himself fueled them.
Tenor: Pavard wants to leave by summer at the latest.
There was also talk of a tense relationship with Julian Nagelsmann.

Pavard wants to stay at Bayern: "I never said I wanted to leave"
In the past few days and weeks, however, there have been signs of a turnaround.
Now Pavard himself speaks plain language: "I never said that I wanted to go.
I feel very comfortable here, I like the club and the fans."
After FC Bayern rejected a transfer offer from Inter Milan in the winter, Pavard made it clear: "I'm not one to disembark in the middle of a journey.
My goal was definitely to stay at Bayern.
I want to win as many titles as possible with Bayern.”

Pavard comments on losing his driver's license: "No one is perfect"
The fact that he was caught drunk at the wheel in the fall didn't help his standing at the time - and Pavard still regrets the incident.
"I made a mistake that I've admitted.
Nobody is perfect, but I learned from it.” One thing was important to him and he emphasizes it explicitly: “I always had the backing of the club.”
Like the newly appointed world coach Lionel Scaloni, he only has words of praise for his Nagelsmann: “The coach is very open.
If you want to talk to him and knock on his door, he's always there for you.
I learn from him every day how I can improve," says Pavard.
Doesn't sound like a bad relationship.
Assistant coach Dino Toppmöller is also a close confidant for him, as he reveals.
"We exchange ideas very often." If Pavard continues like this, he could soon even get a contract extension at Bayern.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is a step further.
